Maths worth mulling over.
So perhaps you've decided to condemn me because I've traded my real life in for a virtual life on Runescape, and that I'm wasting money by becoming a Runescape Pay-to-play member.
I quite agree that I'm slowly losing my life, but who is to say that the life on Runescape is not as real as the life we're leading now? Perhaps you readers are all programs in my brain, we won't ever know and there's no way of proving it. We could all be living in the 'Matrix' and not know it. So we're all 'Runescape characters' in a way, and why can't Runscape characters play Runescape?
But that's not the intent of this post today, to decide whether all the people around me are fake or not. I went for Lawson's birthday dinner/party thingy just now(just now meaning Saturday night), and we had dinner at Fish and Co.
It cost around 17bucks, and 4bucks for pool. That's a total of SGD 21.
That's roughly twice the amount of Runescape membership per month, all spent in one night.
Is paying to play really a waste of money? Perhaps it is, to the people who are that frugal. I used to live off 50cent meals(in primary school), but I grew up and had to eat more.
So anyway, after last night, I've decided that perhaps I should start learning how to trust the digitalized world, and start learning how to use credit cards. I have this inane fear of losing all my money in banks, because I don't trust a bunch of codes to store my money properly. I am the kind who would rather keep my money in biscuit tins or below my bed, because I am this paranoid. But it's time to let go of this paranoia and help myself with all this Internet bullshit in the future. I can't possibly remain a P2P now because of A's.
Wow. I still have common sense.
