Dictionaries.
We all carry a dictionary within us, and those pages are etched with personal definitions and interpretations of events. This dictionary helps us save time because we can then act reflexively based on the definitions we have. If a man comes at you with a knife, you know you should run away because knife-wielding people usually are hostile, or at least you know that from television.
But I think, more often than not, we are horribly limited by our definitions. I like to think that I am open-minded, but I know I have a severely limited world view. I'm scared of expanding the definitions within my dictionary, because that would mean challenging the values that I believe to be true.
Yet at the same time, it can be exhilarating to realize that an entirely different definition can exist out there. I guess that's why we shouldn't just disregard the views of others, because there are no absolutes in the world and their views can be valid in another context that I would not have known if I did not listen.
In other news, I think that we should outlaw "Voice of China" for violating my ears with atrocious singing like this:

I'm pretty sure the YouTube video will be removed soon, because of piracy concerns or something I don't know. But for violating my ears with atrocious singing, I have condemned this song to be in the safe confines of my computer/phone in the mp3 format so that I may yet review how atrocious their singing is. On loop.
Seriously dude how is he so high pitched, and I quote WK "does he have balls". I really wao seriously too mindfucked and in awe.
